Sautéed Cabbage

 

Cabbage
Butter
Salt and Pepper

A  simple enough side dish.  remove the hard, white core of the cabbage and discard, cut the remaining cabbage into slices. Melt a tablespoon of butter in a hot frying pan, add the chopped cabbage and cook until tender. Season to taste.

If you want to add a little extra to this, then before you add the cabbage fry some pancetta in the pan until it is cripsy then add the cabbage. Go easy on the salt when you season because of the pancetta.
